Tragically passed away at Pourerere Beach on 11 February 2023, aged 61 years. Dearly loved husband of Debbie, treasured father of Harry, Jillea and Cilla, respected father-in-law of Joshua, and adored Papa Hom of Freya. Youngest son of the late Stan and June Hewitt, son-in-law of Brian and Clare Peacocke, and brother & brother-in-law of Louise Moorhead, Prue & John Martin, Jane & Rob Hunter, Phil & Margie Hewitt, Susie & Mike Chiera, Guy & Angela Hewitt. Passed away peacefully at home on Monday, 13th February 2023. Dearly beloved wife of 60 years to Peter. Very much loved by Craig and Angela, Kevin and Louise, Madeleine, Chanel, Jake and Flynn. A service to celebrate Dell’s life will be held in the Matamata Racing Club, Epsom Lounge, SH27 Matamata, at 2.00pm, on Saturday, 18th February 2023. Peacefully passed away on February 13, 2023, at Christchurch Hospital with family by his side. Marty had a short but valiant battle with cancer. He was a much loved husband of Sharon. Passed away peacefully at her home in Nelson surrounded by her family on February 13, 2023, aged 87 years. Cherished wife of the late Alan. Dearly loved sister of Molly. Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Diane and Keith, Wayne and Kay, Butch and Kwan, Janice and Rick. Beloved grandmother of Jodi, Jason, Mitchell, Natasha, Beau, Lucky, Pam, Jason, and Tania. Much loved sister-in-law of Ian, Valerie and the late Brian. Beloved aunt of Trish, Jackie, Trevor, Suzie, and Joanne Coleman; Mark, Andrew, Joanne Comeron and families. Aged 86 years. Paul, Joanne and family would like to announce the peaceful passing of their darling Mum, Norma, on Monday, 13th February 2023. Cherished youngest daughter of the late Jean and Bill Mackay. Much loved baby sister of the late Chrissy Mackay. Loving wife to the late Arthur Smith. Super Hero Mum to Chrissy (the late), Paul (the ugly) and Jo (the lovely). The best Granny/Nanny ever to Jason, Amanda and Brianna. Fearless mother-in-law to Cath, Steve and Jono. Loved by all of her extended family and friends. Whilst heartbroken, we are truly thankful that Mum is now at peace. Dad (Arthur) will be delighted to once again jive with the love of his life; and Chrissy will relish in the comfort of being in her Mum’s embrace again. MAINDONALD, Marie Kathleen

On February 13, 2023, died peacefully in her daughter’s arms at Arvida Ilam supported by her sister Val, friend Lynne and the aroha of many. Precious mother of Sarah, cherished Nan of Kamini and Devesh, loved sister of Val, Hassana, Victor, Glen the late Gay (and June), her nieces and nephews and her many friends. A service for Marie will be held in the Academy Funeral Chapel, 65 Main South Road, Upper Riccarton, on Friday, February 17, at 11.00am. Private interment thereafter.
