Taranaki Branch of the New Zealand Dental Association GALLACHER, Dr Kenny

The Taranaki Branch members wish to express their deep sadness at the tragic loss of a highly respected colleague and friend Dr Kenny Gallacher. Kenny has left our lives far too early and will be missed by the many lives he touched. It has been our great honour to have known and worked with Kenny. We offer our sincere condolences and love to Felicity, Luke, Matty, and their extended families.

A Memorial funeral service to celebrate Dot’s life will be held in the John Rhind Chapel, entry from London and Whitmore Streets, Richmond, Christchurch, on Friday, February 17, 2023 at 1.00pm. In lieu of flowers donations to New Zealand Women’s Refuge or the Medical and Health Sciences Foundation Centre for Brain Research would be appreciated and can made by visiting their website. OTT, Grahame (Otty)

On Wednesday, February 8, 2023. Otty passed peacefully away at George Manning Rest Home after a long illness, aged 77 years. Loving husband of Jackie and loved by his friends and family. Previous Camp leader of Lake Brunner motor camp and proud member of the volunteer fire brigade for 25 years. A special thanks to all the staff at George Manning for your love and care of Grahame. Passed away peacefully at Lifecare Cambridge on Saturday, 4th February 2023. Aged 88 years. Dearly loved and devoted brother to Ruth Boyd, John Clement (Gisborne), and Alison Grounds (deceased). Very special uncle of Roy Clements (Taupo).

WARD, June Mary (nee Bevan-Brown)

Died peacefully on the morning of February 4, 2023, at the Oakwoods Retirement Village in Richmond, Nelson, aged 94 years. Daughter of the late Maurice and Elsie Bevan-Brown and much loved younger sister of the late Ruth Tinga. June was adored by her late husband Joe Ward, is the dearly loved mother of Diana, Rosi (dec.), Virginia, Rachel and Paul, aunt of Annemarie and Robin, much loved by a large extended family of Caplens, Turnbulls, Andersons, Hydes, Tingas, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and by the many friends and carers at Oakwoods. As the family do not live nearby, a private cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will be arranged at a later date to celebrate June’s life.

HUGHES, Pam

On Saturday 4 February 2023, our Pam passed away peacefully with her loving partner, David, and best friend, Lorene, by her side. Pam was the much loved Mum of Cherie, Jena and Jamie; and adoring Nana of Riley and Olivia. Pam’s beautiful and selfless soul, boundless energy, passion and laugh will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Wellington hospital for their loving care. A private cremation was held on Tuesday 7 February 2023 where Pam crossed the bar surrounded by her family. A public celebration of Pam’s life will be held on Sunday 19 February 2023, 3.00pm, at the Plimmerton Hall, 9 Sunset Parade, Plimmerton. In lieu of flowers, donations to Cure Our Ovarian Cancer NZ would be much appreciated.

Passed away peacefully on Monday, 14th March 2022. Aged 91 Years. Devoted husband of Joy for 68 years. Much loved father and father-in-law of Kareyn & Arthur, Klaine & Ian, and loved poppy to his grandchildren & great-grandchildren. A memorial service for Hugh will be

LANGE, Judy(Judith Margaret)

February 2, 2023, at Hospice Southland. Judy died of ovarian cancer with total dignity, poise and grace. Loved wife of Geoff, mother and mother-in-law of Kathryn and Serge, Chris and Michelle. Devoted Nana of Mischa, Fergus, Eddie, Vanya, Sasha and Katya. The Lange family extend our sincere thanks for the respect, love and extraordinary care given to us by our friends, extended family and the many medical professionals we have come into contact with. Judy has been faultlessly cared for by so many talented and thoughtful people over the last 6 years, but in particular, for Judy’s final few days, she had the good fortune to have been looked after by the outstanding Southland Hospice team. Thank you all, for your skillset and empathy. We are in awe of what you do and will be forever grateful. A farewell celebration for Judy’s life will be held at 2.00pm on Friday, February 17, at J. Fraser and Sons, Esk Street, Invercargill. Please ensure you are Covid free before attending.

Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Maureen and Craig, and Jackie. Adored nana of Selina and Rafe, Sarah and Mikey, and Nick and Harriet. Cherished great-nana of Lily, Sam, Harper, Ava and Lola. Special thanks to the staff at Diana Isaac Rest Home for the amazing love, care and support of Lorraine over the last 10 and a half years. On February 1, 2023, passed away peacefully at Christchurch Hospital, aged 91 years. Devoted husband of Hennie, sorely missed by son Frans and daughter Yvonne. Brother of Julian and uncle of his nephews and nieces. Family in Holland include in-laws Loeki, Hans and Bep, Ben and the late Truus, Riet and Piet, Ton and Annemieke, Charl and Daphne, the late Anton and Gerda and their families.
