On February 14, 2023, Rae passed peacefully at Waikato Hospital, aged 91 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Ray, loved mother and mother-in-law of Peter and Lynley, Leonie and Paul, Barry and Debbie, and Neville. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. A Service for Rae will be held at Taumarunui Funeral Services Chapel, 34 Huia Street, on Tuesday 21st February at 1.00pm, followed by interment at the Taumarunui Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Taumarunui Opp Shop would be appreciated and may be left in the receptacle provided at the Chapel.

Passed peacefully at Clare House on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, aged 75. Dearly loved husband for 52 years of Karen. Son of the late John and Doris Sinclair. Much loved and devoted father and father-in-law of Kerry and Andrew, Mel and Gus, and Brad. Loved and treasured grandad (Dougie) of Luke, Grace, Zac and Erin. Brother and brother-in-law of Ainslie and Harold (dec), Lilian and Bill (dec), Russell and Sue, Lyall and Fay, Andrew (dec), and Andrew and Lee, Ross and Denise, Peter and Mary-Ann, and loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews. A celebration of Doug’s life is to be held at the Ascot Park Hotel on Monday, February 20 at 1.30pm, followed by interment at the Eastern Cemetery. The family wish to acknowledge and thank the wonderful care and support from staff at Mercy Hospital (Dunedin), Southland Hospice and Clare House. Brother to the late Lorraine Dorman. Father of Paul, Matthew, and Tom, grandfather to Manix, Nadia and Felix. Formerly married to Michelle Pritchard (div 1975), mother to Paul and Matthew, and to Glenis Giles (div 2006), mother to Tom. Caring and supportive brother-in-law to Fey Valiant. Retired in 2018, after a 29-year career with KiwiRail. He will be missed by his family and those whose lives he has touched throughout his interesting and eventful life.
