The Price family would like to invite you to a memorial service for Jim, held at Seddon Park Funeral Home Chapel, Cnr Seddon Road & Somerset Street, Hamilton, on Friday, 10 December 2021, at 1.30pm. Vaccination passport required to attend.


SAUL, Mavis (May)

The Saul family are very sad to announce the passing of Mavis (May) Saul of Paraparaumu on Tuesday 30th November 2021. Beloved wife of the late Bill, Mother to Robert, Wayne and Joanne. Mother-in-law to William and Pam. Grandmother to 6 favourite GC and Great-Grandmother to 11 beautiful GGC. A celebration of May’s life was held by close family and dearest. Everyone who knew May including all her family know May will be sorely missed.


VICKERS, Audrey Edith

On November 5, 2021, in Durban, South Africa, after a short illness. Born September 22, 1932, in Stratford, New Zealand. Daughter of the late Edward Stanley and Mary Ellen Vickers. Sister of Maurice Stanley Vickers. She lived an adventurous life on 3 continents.
Mourned by all who knew her.


DOIDGE, Valerie Wilson

Peacefully on 20 November 2021 at Shona McFarlane Village, aged 95 years. Beloved wife of the late Jim. Dearly loved mother of Steph and Phil (Melbourne), and Pam and Rob, and precious Grandma of Yury, Alex, Claudia and Sophia. Loved twin sister of Roger and Doris. Sincere thanks to the caring staff at Shona McFarlane for their kindness and respect for Val during her time there. Val’s funeral service will be held at ‘The Kirk’, Stokes Valley Uniting Church, Stokes Valley Road, Stokes Valley, on Monday 13 December at 11.00am. Beloved wife of the late Major Alexander ‘Sandy’ Sommerville, dear sister to the late Barbara Schofield, cherished aunt and friend to Jill, Peter, Lesley and the late John Schofield; great-aunt to Alex, Katie, Denis, Stephanie, Penelope and Zachary Schofield; great-great-aunt to Olivia Schofield; and dear friend of Julia Briscoe and family. Annette passed away peacefully early Saturday December 4, 2021. At 92, she was surrounded by loving friends. Our heartfelt thanks go to Annette’s friends and staff of 18 years at Malvina Major Retirement Village. Annette was comforted in the belief that she was joining her loved ones. CAMDEN, Patricia Ellen (Trish)

Formerly of Ngaio, Wellington
On December 3, 2021 peacefully at Mary Potter Hospice, Wellington. Aged 56 years. Daughter of Jack and Joyce Camden (both deceased). Sister and sister-in-law of Kathy, Ken & Jan, Rob & Mark. Loved by her niece and nephews. Gorgeous friend of Helen and Chrissi. Special thanks to nursing staff at Mary Potter Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations to Mary Potter Hospice, Wellington would be appreciated and may be left at the service. BRENNAN, Ronald Campbell

(also known as The Mayor of Woodward St.) Peacefully on 3rd December 2021. Beloved husband of the late Judith. Loved father and father-in-law of Douglas and Diane, Lance and Amanda, & Glenn and Carolyn. Loved Grandfather to Sean, Ashley, Cameron, Erin, Sophie, Annika, Bradley and Thomas. Brother-in-law of Moira, Noeline, Tony, David and Margaret. Thanks to the staff at Millvale House for their loving care of Ronald. GIBBONS, Deborah Suzanne (Debbie)

Passed away peacefully at home on December 1, 2021. Dearly loved daughter of Marion and the late Malcolm, sister to Brent and Craig, sister-in-law to Joy and Jackie, mother to Caitlin, Wade, Madison, and Glen. Aunty to all her nieces and nephews. Will be sadly missed by all who knew her.


DIMOCK, Neville David‘Sport’

On November 28, 2021 peacefully at home in Wellington with family by his side aged 89 (21 and three quarters in leap years). Husband to the late Dolores, Devoted and much loved father to Ingrid and Annette. Respected father-in-law to Tim and Cory. Greatest of Poppa’s to Nick, Georgia, Amy and Zoe. Sadly missed by Minou. Kind and generous friend to many.

CURREY, Richard Edward (Dick)

On December 1, 2021, peacefully at Ballarat Care Home, Rangiora. Aged 88 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Joy. Much loved stepfather of Barbara and Garry Palmer, Olwynne Cade and Jon Rinckes. Much loved Uncle Dick, Grandad and Grandad Dick of his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. STUART, Allen Geoffrey (Godfrey)

Passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, three weeks short of his 67th birthday. Geoff left behind two sons, Nathan and Ryan Rowell. We would like to invite Geoff’s friends to a celebration of his life at the Wakatu Hotel (Nelson), on Saturday, December 11, 2021, from 3.00pm.

PHILLIPS, Eileen May (nee Spittal)

Peacefully and with dignity at Nelson Hospital on Sunday, December 5, 2021; in her 88th year. Dearly loved wife of the late Terry. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Cheryl, Bill and Mary, and Lynda. Loved grandma of Robert, Belinda, Katrena, and Kylee; Emma, Lara, Jesse, and Ethan. Great-grandma of her 11 great-grandchildren, daughter of the late Grace (nee Tyree) and Gab Spittal, and long-term family friend of Teal.

Mum fought a great fight
and is now resting peacefully with Dad.
A service to celebrate Eileen’s life will be held at Hope Garden of Remembrance Chapel, 95 Clover Road East, Hope, Nelson, on Saturday, December 11 at 2.00pm. Due to the current traffic light restrictions in place, the service will be based on the unvaccinated requirements at the families request with a limit of 50 people.
