On February 12, 2023, peacefully at Edith Cavell, aged 91 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Cor, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Peter and Sherryn, and the late Robert, adored Oma of Jacqueline and Jason, Michael and Emma, great-Oma of Claire, and Sophie. GILES, Brian John
Of Canterbury. Passed away at Burwood Hospital in the company of his two daughters Jay and Sarah on Friday, February 10, 2023, aged 81 years. Brian is “Dad/Bri” to Juanita (Jay), and Sarah, Friend and father-in-law of Bede, Grandad to Luisa, Jaime, Manisha, Noah and Sienna, Great-Grandad of Luisa and Zeke’s baby due. Son of Reginald (Reg) and Asta, brother of David, Yvonne, Elaine, Kevin and Graeme, Uncle and good friend of his many nieces and nephews, and their families.

SWNEY, Olive Merle
Merle and Gray are now separated after 73 years of marriage as Merle passed peacefully away at the Te Aroha Community Hospital on 13th February 2023, aged 96. Merle was so greatly loved by her family; husband Gray, children, Christine and Tony, John and Delia, Michael and Raewyn, and the grandchildren, Sally, Scott, Toni, Katie and the late Brad and Jane and Megan. The family wish to give our most grateful thanks to the staff at Lawrence House and the Te Aroha Community Hospital who have given Merle and Gray all the love and care and went beyond their duties in doing so.
No longer by our sides but forever in our hearts, go well our special lady.
