On February 18, 2023, in her 98th year, passed peacefully in her sleep at the Palm Grove Rest Home. Loved wife of the late Kenneth, loved mother and mother-in-law of Anthony and Yvonne, Carolyn and Mark Gordon, and Bryan and Rhonda. Loved Grandmother of Julian, Gabrielle, Emma, Lindsey, Timothy, Rebecca, Julia and Jason, Kura will also be missed by her wider family and great-grandchildren. Jane Margaret Loe cherished daughter of the late Peter Rivers Loe and Annie Jean Loe (nee Robson) passed suddenly in the early hours of Tuesday, February 7, 2023. Jane leaves behind her loving partner of 30 years Gary Healey and their children Maia, Sam and Levi. A memorial service was held at Jane’s home on Monday, February 13, followed by a private cremation on Tuesday, February 14. Jane will be dearly missed by all who knew her and the family wishes to thank St John’s, the Akaroa Volunteer Fire Brigade and the Community of Akaroa for all their support during this difficult time.
