(Formerly of Auckland). Passed away peacefully on Friday, February 17, 2023 after a battle with cancer, aged 71 years. Loved son of Trevor (deceased) and Evelyn (deceased), brother of Rosemary and brother-in-law of Stephen. Uncle of Tarsh and Sam. Dear friend of Lyn and a friend to many. Aged 97 years, died peacefully in her sleep at Summerset Rototuna, Hamilton, on February 18, 2023. Dearly loved wife of the late Robert (Bob), much loved mother and mother-in-law of Jill & Rob (Hamilton), John & Diana (Paraparaumu), Robert & Bronwyn (Auckland). Rex passed away peacefully at Nelson Hospital after a short illness with family at his side. On February 16, 2023, passed away peacefully at Addington Gardens, in his 102nd year. Much loved husband of the late Ngaire, treasured father and father-in-law of Estelle and Maurice (Christchurch), Peter and Susie (Sydney), and Jill (Dunedin), loved pa to Whenua, Bede, and Ya’nan; Simon, and Malinda; Henry, Eliza and Lucy, adored great-grand pa of Zachary, James, Sophie, Mia, Fraser and Holly, much loved brother and brother-in-law of Alice (dec) and Bill; Lynn and Heather (dec); Mavis and Jim (dec), and Graeme and Eileen (dec). Uncle Murray’s many nieces and nephews will have very happy memories of time spent with him ‘on the farm’ in Cromwell…. He delighted in ‘playing tricks’ and ‘pulling legs’, as his grandchildren will also attest to. Special thanks to the nursing staff at Addington Gardens, your care and attention was always appreciated. Wife of the late Mervyn Milne and the late Des Ruff, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2023, aged 91 years. Beloved mother of Allan, Marjorie, Barry, David, Leanne and the late Ian. Mother-in-law of Don, Barbara and Stephen, also step-mother to Bruce, Pauline and Wendy. Loved Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. Special thanks to the staff of both Woodcote and Essie Summers Rest Homes for their care of our Mum. In lieu of flowers, donations to the “Key” Outreach for Seniors, a ministry of Beckenham Baptist Church, would be appreciated. A Memorial Service for Barbara will be held on Monday, February 27, 2023 at 2.00pm, in the Beckenham Baptist Church Hall, 146 Colombo Street, Sydenham (carpark access also via 7a Percival Street).
