HANKE, Ernest Reginald (Ernie)
4.11.1930 – 22.2.2023
Died peacefully at Resthaven, Gore. Son of the late Fred and Dorothea and a much loved brother and uncle. Loved friend to Liz and Colin, Kevin and Verna, Wayne and Theresa, Gary and Liz (all of Mataura and Gore). In accordance with Ernie’s wishes a private cremation has been held. A service of Remembrance will be held for Ernie at the Mataura RSA, River Street, on Wednesday, March 1 at 1.30pm. At the conclusion of the service, Ernie’s ashes will be laid to rest at the Mataura Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hokonui St John Ambulance may be left at the service.
