On 23rd February 2023, peacefully after a short illness, aged 74 years. Loved wife of Murray. Amazing mother and mother-in-law of Marissa & Brian Morris, Jason & Pip, Angie & Regan. Adored Nana of Emersyn & Lucky, Keegan, Robson, Edie, Willa & Arlo. Great-nana of the late Theo. Sister of Ian Innes. Loved by all her extended family and friends. A celebration of Janette’s life will be held at Zenders, 44 Hopkins Road, Newstead, Hamilton, on Friday 3rd March at 2.00pm. A private family cremation has been held.

Died 23 February 2023, suddenly at home, in his 89th year. Dearly loved husband of Lorraine for 60 years; loving father of Jacquelene (dec.), Catherine and Blair; Gramps of Georgia, Neive & Howard; father-in-law of Sarah and Rick; much loved brother of Irma and brother-in-law John. a private cremation and gathering has been held.

Passed away 24th February 2023 at Star 4 Hospital, Levin; aged 83. Much loved husband of Alison. Proud father and father-in-law of Steve and Allison, Andy and Emma, Cam and Jo. Proud Grandad of Ben, Bec, Annabelle, Lizzie, Katie and Iona. A big thank you to the medical teams for the care and dedication they gave him. We will be celebrating Peter’s life on Friday 3rd March at 1.00pm at Harvey’s Chapel, 284 Oxford Street, Levin. No flowers, by request. KING, Br Lawrence (Richard)

Baptised Richard, Br Lawrence, aged 79, died early on Ash Wednesday, 22nd February, after more than 62 years as a De La Salle Brother. He was the dearly loved son of Walter and Agnes King (both deceased). The Brothers would like to thank especially the staff of Cabrini Palliative Care, Noel Miller House (Mecwacare) and O’Brien House (VMHC) for their quality care of Lawrence during the last years of his life. Requiem mass for Br Lawrence will be celebrated in St Joseph’s Church, 47 Stanhope Street, Malvern, on Monday 6th March at 11.00am. Passed away peacefully at home, on Saturday, 25th February 2023. Aged 92. Loved husband for 62 years of the late Pauline. Loving father and father-in-law of Alan, Peter, Colin and Aynsley, Roy and Amy, and Ian. Loved grandfather of his grandchildren.

Slipped away peacefully at Waikato Hospital on Sunday, 26th February 2023. Aged 85 years. Dearly loved husband of Glenise. Much loved father and father-in-law of Stuart & Bridget, and the late Gill. On February 26, 2023 at Nazareth House, Christchurch, supported by her Mercy community, family and staff. Dearly loved member of Nga Whaea Atawhai o Aotearoa Sisters of Mercy New Zealand in the 69th year of her religious profession, aged 88 years. Dearly loved daughter of Tessa and Paddy, much loved sister and sister-in-law of Maureen and Bill Kennedy, Patrick and Iris, Noel and Joyce, Teresa and Ray Phelan, John and Patricia, James, and Clare and Darcy Lucas (all deceased); much loved aunty of all her nieces and nephews. After a courageous battle with cancer, Chester passed away at home on Monday 27th February 2023, aged 65 years. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Ella (nee Amosa). Much loved dad to Zac, Abi and Katy, their wonderful partners Kristina, Andrew and Corey and Pop to Jimmy, Benny and Jonah the best grandchildren in the world. Brother to Debbie and Michael Player (Papakwhai) and John and Jen Amosa (Wakefield). Uncle Ches to Mark and Jess Player, James and Kanitha Player, Julia and John Robinson, Tani, Riana and Isla Amosa. In lieu of flowers donations will be welcomed for Ozanam House, Palmerston North, or Te Rangimarie Hospice, New Plymouth and may be left at the service. Chester will be at St Mary’s Anglican Church Princes Street, Hawera for people to pay their respects between the hours of 1.00pm - 4.00pm, Tuesday 28th February and Wednesday 1st March 2023. A service of celebration for Chester’s life will be held at the TSB Hub, Camberwell Road, Hawera, on Thursday 2 March 2023,
at 1.00pm, with a private interment to follow.
