After a short courageous battle, surrounded by family and friends, Dad left us on 20th February 2023. Loving son, brother, father, Koko, uncle and friend. Son of Mihi Te Miha Harawira (dec) and Harold Louis Taplin (dec). Loved brother to George (dec) and Doris (dec), Rex (dec) and Hine, Ngaire, Daphne (dec) and Malcolm, June and Peter (dec), Peter and Lesley, and Ann (dec). Husband of Margaret (nee Maclachlan) and Terina (nee Ngatai) (dec). Father to Tracey, Jody, Paul, Nathan and Leisha (dec), Kiriana and Julian, Tiwini and Jordan. Koko to Aaron, Stephen, Sinead, Reina and Hone, Tarati and Charlie, Waka Neihana, Hetekia, Ihaka, Bailey, Quentin and Tamara, Amber, Kiera, Nateisha, Anaru, Nga Taerangi, Kaiu and Matakaheru. Great-Koro to Hinemaia Aria, Jada-Lee Amakura, Kimiora Areta, Nui, Loki and Sky-Blue. Dad will lay at 48 Hinemoa Street, Levin, then onto Tukorehe Marae, with final journey to Pouakani Marae in Mangakino for a service at 11.00am, on Friday 24th February.
