Formerly of Paihia and Hawera. Passed away in Whangarei on 7th March 2023, aged 93 years. Loved wife of Rex Hickey (deceased). Gentle, kind and much loved mum and mother-in-law of Chris & Rob Harding (Ngunguru), Brenda & Lloyd Murcott (Whangamata), and Janice & Mike Shevlin (Narooma, NSW). at rest. Beloved wife and soulmate of the late Bernie. They immigrated to New Zealand from the Netherlands 70 years ago. Special friend of Claire and Mark. Our sincerest thanks to the Cook Street Medical Centre and Lavender Blue teams who supported Dini to remain independent and living in her own home. Our heartfelt appreciation to Dr Jonathan and the wonderful nursing teams at OPAL and STAR wards for their compassionate care of Dini over the last 5 weeks, and for supporting the family through this time.
