Quiet in manner, June was a softly spoken, gentle lady with a lovely smile. She loved her family deeply and was so proud of the art work they created and happily showed it off to everyone. She enjoyed soaking up the warmth of the sun with a good book and cup of tea. Tainui staff and residents extend their sincerest condolences to June’s family.

Lynne loved the close relationships she had with family and kept in regular contact with friends. A social lady who loved to mingle and was popular with everyone, had many friends at Tainui and will be sadly missed. She spent quiet time watching sports and reading. Lynne idolised her dog ’Tess’ and enjoyed her visits. Tainui staff and residents extend their condolences to Lynne’s family.

Passed peacefully in the shadow of her mountain, on Thursday 9 March 2023. In her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Leo. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Janet and Peter Hosking (Gold Coast), Kathy and Mike Ellis (Wellington), and Richard (Melbourne). Loved nanny of Luke, Stacey and Amanda, Laurence and Stephanie.
