Peacefully, surrounded by family, in Christchurch, aged 81 years. Much loved husband of Ann, and loved dad of Dean, and Scott. Adored grandad of James and Dani, and Brayden; and Mikayla and Steve, and a proud great-grandad of Tyler, Cairo, and Tahlia. Peacefully in New Plymouth on Thursday 9 March 2023, aged 90. Loved daughter of Thomas & Doris and sister of Mary (all deceased). A very dear friend to so many. A service to remember Jo will be held at Eagars Te Henui Chapel, 174 Lemon Street, New Plymouth, on Thursday 16 March 2023 at 11.00am, followed by her burial at Awanui Cemetery. Rosary will be prayed at St Joseph’s Catholic Church, 106 Powderham Street, New Plymouth, on Wednesday evening at 7.00pm.

POLLARD, Jean Kathleen

Slipped away peacefully on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Nurse Maude Hospice; aged 82 years. Much loved wife and best friend of Jim and treasured mother of John, and Vandy. Jean’s death will be mourned by friends and family in New Zealand, Scotland and England. Jean will be missed by one-time colleagues at Medbury School, Ballantynes and the Persian Rug Gallery and by the many dependent customers of her business at Fendalton Rugs. JEFFERIES, Marian (nee Tomlinson)

On 7 March 2023, peacefully, in the loving care of Winara Care Home with family at her side. Aged 91. All the steps are danced; the stitches cast; voyages and travel done; the dogs, the cats, the cavies – cherished and at rest. Our centre, our reason, our Mum, our Gran; independent, articulate, strong, courageous, loyal. Dearly loved by her children – Gail and her husband Paul, Alan and his partner Michelle, Bradford and his wife Vanessa; her grandchildren Jordan, Dylan, Zoe, Cory, Amy and all her friends and extended family. At peace with her mum Patti, her dad George, her younger brother Neville; her lifetime love, Dick; her special friend, Ken.
