HILDERINK, Dini (Berendina)

Passed away at Palmerston North Hospital on Monday 6th March 2023, aged 96, now
at rest. Beloved wife and soulmate of the late Bernie. They immigrated to New Zealand from the Netherlands 70 years ago. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Irene and David Sharland, Caroline Hilderink and Kevin Smith, and Paul and Sarah. Cherished Nana of Darren and Anita, Rachel and Jason, Brendan and Lisa, Emma and Andrew and Lewis. Adored great-grandma of Jack and Coby, Ben and Sam, Alexis and Michaela and Nicollete. Special friend of Claire and Mark. Our sincerest thanks to the Cook Street Medical Centre and Lavender Blue teams who supported Dini to remain independent and living in her own home. Our heartfelt appreciation to Dr Jonathan and the wonderful nursing teams at OPAL and STAR wards for their compassionate care of Dini over the last 5 weeks, and for supporting the family through this time.
