On Saturday, May 6, 2023, aged 83 years. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Terry and Andera, loved Nana of Sophie-Rose, Holly, Grace, Terence, and Robbie, loved sister, sister-in-law, aunty, cousin and friend. on Thursday, May 11, commencing at 1.00pm. Following the service Jenny will be laid to rest in the Lawn Section of the Hokitika Cemetery.

On May 4, 2023, aged 28 years, suddenly passed away due to Addison’s Disease. Dearly loved son of Mark and Anita, brother and brother-in-law of Reuben and Stasia. Loved grandson of Frank (deceased) and Lynne and Brian and Maggie. Loved nephew of Deborah, Paul, Sonia, Paul, Vicky, and Frankie and loved by his many cousins. Cherished pop of Renee, Cameron and Frayne, Mikaylea and Greer, George, Katie and Adam and also to his extended grandchildren.

In his 90th year (originally from Morpeth, Northumberland, England). Beloved husband and best friend of Jennie, loved father and father-in-law of Steve and Bev (Brisbane), Carol and Richard (Westport), and Thomas and Sue (Timaru), awesome grandfather of his 11 Grandchildren, 23 Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great-Grandfather to one.

Passed away peacefully at home, aged 54 years. Dearly loved husband of Sharron, much loved father of Dylan, loved son of Muriel, and William (Sandy), loved brother and brother-in-law of Jan-Marie and Pat, and Tania and John, brother-in-law of Michael and Kylie, Carolyn and Paul, Kaye and Symon, a treasured uncle of his nieces and nephews, and best mate of Jess. Special thanks to all those who cared for Mark throughout his illness. Messages may be sent to PO Box 58, Hororata 7544. SHAW, Mark Laurence (Mush)

Suddenly, on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at his home in Ao Nang, Thailand. A big heart focused on family and friends is now still. Mark was a loving husband of Buie, devoted father with Bronlee of Luke and Greta, and doting grandfather of Claire, Heidi, Josh, Ollie, Jasmine, and Isobel. Son of Nola and Jack (deceased), and brother of Mike, Anne (deceased), Kath, Paul, Terry, Yvonne and Lisa. Mark’s life will be celebrated at a service in Thailand, and at a memorial gathering to be planned in New Plymouth, on a date to be advised.

Passed away peacefully at Parkstone Care Home, on May 4, 2023, aged 83 years. Beloved wife of the late Bill, loved and adored mum and mother-in-law of Tony and Justine, and Janette and Clint, treasured grandma of David, Jessica, and Sarah-Jane; Alex, and Emily, and a much loved great-grandma of eight great-grandchildren. On Saturday, May 6, 2023, peacefully at Highfield Lifecare surrounded by her loving family. Dearly loved daughter of the late Bessie and John Rennie, loved sister and sister-in-law of the late Betty, Denniston and Kathleen, Bruce, Allan, Clare and Norris Sykes, Judy and Pat McCambridge, and Dix. A Requiem Mass for Barlow will be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Basilica, Craigie Avenue, Timaru, on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at 11.00am, thereafter interment in the Timaru Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Vincent de Paul would be gratefully appreciated and may be left at the service. A Rosary will be recited at the Basilica this evening at 5.15pm. Special thanks to the staff at Highfield Lifecare for the loving care and respect that they have shown to Barlow and her family. Loved mother of Sharon, and Sacha (Roger), loved mother-in-law of Shane, loved sister of Judy Brown and the late Eddy Rump, aunty of Chris, and Andrew Brown, and former wife of the late Keith Gottermeyer. Special thanks to the Older Persons Health Specialist Team for organising home support services (Homecare) that enabled Alice to stay at her daughter’s home during her last seven months. Thank you to the day activity groups that allowed mum to interact with much laughter - Club 304, Mary Potter Community Centre, and the Canbreathe Class. Husband and best friend to Claire (Austin), Dad to Cherry and Nic Hart, Joe, and Hannah Smellie, and Grandpo to Mikey, and Betty. Loved brother of Jenni and Hamish Dobbie, Tim and Ali, Matt and Ange Smellie. Teacher, Kaiako, Matua Kai and coach to many young people in Plimmerton, Porirua, Wellington, the Wairarapa, Australia and Dunedin. A celebration of Mike’s life will be held in Taieri College Performing Arts Centre, on Saturday, May 13 at 11.00am, followed by private cremation.
