SMELLIE, Michael Peter (Mike)
At home in Dunedin, on Saturday, May 6, 2023; aged 61 years, surrounded by his loved ones. Husband and best friend to Claire (Austin), Dad to Cherry and Nic Hart, Joe, and Hannah Smellie, and Grandpo to Mikey, and Betty. Loved brother of Jenni and Hamish Dobbie, Tim and Ali, Matt and Ange Smellie. Teacher, Kaiako, Matua Kai and coach to many young people in Plimmerton, Porirua, Wellington, the Wairarapa, Australia and Dunedin. A celebration of Mike’s life will be held in Taieri College Performing Arts Centre, on Saturday, May 13 at 11.00am, followed by private cremation.
