Of Feilding. Peacefully on May 26, 2023, aged 77. Husband of Jennifer (dec), much loved Dad of Andrea and David Bond, Malcolm and Katrina, and Shane and Vandee. Grandad to Matthew, Sam, Georgia, Alana, Jessica, Patricia, and Michael. A service for Russell will be held in William Cotton & Sons Chapel, 29 Beattie Street, Feilding, on Thursday June 1, 2023, at 11.00am, followed by a private interment. SCOTT, Helen Margaret

Passed away peacefully on May 27, 2023, after a long and wonderful life, aged 96, at Christchurch Hospital. Dearly loved wife of the late Ian. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Russel and Elwyn, the late Brenda, Andrew, and the late Margaret. Loving nana and grand-nana to all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Died suddenly and unexpectedly in ICU, Nelson Hospital, May 26, 2023. Loved and cherished partner of Gail, loved son of the late Richard and Edna, much loved brother and brother-in-law of Lesley and the late Terry McDonald, Janette and Owen Roberts, Dawne Overend, Glenda and Mark Woodward, Catherine Overend, and Brent and Julie Perkins. Garry was a special uncle to all his nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

After a courageous battle. Carolyn passed away peacefully at Hospice Southland, on Friday, May 26, 2023. Much loved wife and best friend of the late Ray. Devoted and loving mother and mother-in-law of Marcus, Scott and Amanda, and Louise. A very proud Nana of Claudia, the late Emma Rose, Isobel, Charlie, Hollie and Leilah. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Judy and Bill Beaumont (Nelson), Colin and Christine Whitaker, Glenda and Brian Brown (Alexandra). Loved daughter of the late Perc and Norma Edney, and daughter-in-law of the late Ev and Ivan Whitaker. Much loved aunt of all her nieces and nephews. The Whitaker family wish to thank the Doctors and Staff at Hospice Southland for taking exceptional care of Carolyn. HURST, Lynette Beverley (nee Hawken)

Heartbreakingly, Lyn passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Nelson Hospital after a sudden illness. Lyn was a loving mother to Mia and Kane and adored Nanny to Norton, Noah and much anticipated new Grandbaby due in October. Cherished daughter of the late Jenny and John (Wattie) Hawken and much loved by sisters Suzanne, Jillian, Shirley, Margaret and their families. Lyn has blessed so many people with her friendship, kindness and fun-loving approach to life, she will be sadly missed and forever in our hearts. A service to celebrate Lyn’s life and farewell her on her next adventure with much love will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023 at the Alive Church of Christ, 374 High Street Motueka. Brother and brother-in-law of Ashley (deceased), Nola and the late Ron, Nova and Ray (both deceased), Lyn (deceased) and Martin, Marguerite and Daryl, Trisha and Robyn, Yvonne and the late Lawrence, and much loved uncle.
