Passed away peacefully with family by his side at Maryann Rest Home, Stratford, on Thursday 8th June 2023, aged 91 years. Loved brother of Hanna (Stratford), Lini (Switzerland). Cherished uncle of his nieces and nephews and extended family in New Zealand and Switzerland. All messages to Ernie’s family can be sent to C/- P.O. Box 218, Stratford 4352. A service for Ernst will be held at the Presbyterian Church, Regan Street, Stratford, on Tuesday 13th June 2023 at 1.00pm, followed by a private cremation.

Of Christchurch. On June 8, 2023, peacefully at Christchurch Hospital, surrounded by family. Aged 82 years. Treasured husband of Pauline, and adored father of Thérèse and Michael, Gerard and Anna, James and Kate, and Anna-Kate and Blair. Beloved Gramps of Jacob, Mimi, Paddy, Fergus, Oscar, Lucy, Annabelle, Rosie, Niamh, Angus, and Liam. Survived by his loving sisters, Emily, Kathleen and Deborah. In lieu of flowers, donations to Nurse Maude Hospice (www.nursemaude.org.nz) or St John Ambulance (stjohn.org.nz) would be appreciated and can be made online. Requiem Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church, 106 Main South Road, Sockburn, Christchurch, at 1.00pm on Tuesday, June 13, to be followed by a private cremation.

Of Surrey, England and Paraparaumu, NZ. Passed away after a short illness related to Prader-Willi syndrome. Precious and beloved son of Joanna and Stephen Davies, loved and cherished brother of Abigail and Seth Davies. Loved grandson of Betty and Ron Davies, Christine Ainsworth, Paul and Pauline Whiteman, loved nephew of aunts and uncles and loved cousin. A funeral service to celebrate Jacob’s life will be held at Connect Church, Paraparaumu, on Tuesday 13th June at 2.00pm, followed by a private cremation.

Roger died peacefully on 9th June, 2023, at Jane Winstone Retirement Village, Whanganui. He was loved by his wife Jenny, his children Robyn (dec), John and Jacqui, Tom and Katrina, and Mark and Brigit. He was also a special Rouge to Hannah, Mathew, and great-grandson Billy, Lucy, Guy, Henry, Charlie, Jack and Lee. A private family day will be held for Roger.

Peacefully at home on June 9, 2023; aged 75 years. Dearly beloved youngest child of the late Nonie and Ted Ward. Dearly loved brother of Sr Margaret RSM (deceased), Monsignor Patrick (deceased), Edward and Norah. Much loved brother-in-law of Tom Patterson (deceased). A loved and special uncle of Anne-Maree, Christopher and Sarah; Michael, Jane, Kenneth, Mary, Susan and Thomas, and many great nieces and great-nephews. Special thanks to Michael’s carers for their love and support, especially Anna, Sue, Denisse, Liz, Rocio, Sheree, Susan and Stacey. May he rest in peace. Of Raumati South. Peacefully at Millvale Lodge Lindale on Friday 9 June 2023. Aged 82 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Keith. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Lance, Michael, and Andrew & Kylie. Much loved Grandma of Benjamin, Peter, Zachariah, Mary-Lynn, Tabitha, Elijah, Conaire, and Siobhan; Matthew and Everleigh. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Ron & Francie, Margaret & John, Patsy (dec) & Graham, and Kim & David, and their families. Heartfelt thanks to the team at Millvale Lodge Lindale for their love and care. A Requiem Mass of Celebration will be held at Our Lady of Kapiti Catholic Church, 1 Presentation Way, Paraparaumu, on Friday 16 June 2023 at 1.00pm, to be followed by burial at Awa Tapu Cemetery.

Passed away peacefully, at Parklands Retirement Village, on June 7, 2023, aged 90 years. Loved wife of the late Jack Grundy. Loved youngest daughter of the late Leonard and Tui Broad (formerly of Dunedin), sister of Shirley and John Smith (both deceased), Michael (deceased) and Patricia Broad. Loved aunty and great-aunty of all her nieces and nephews. The family wish to thank the staff of Rata Wing, at Parklands Retirement Village for their dedicated care of Robin over the last 2 years. and Binney. Lifelong budgerigar enthusiast, backyard brewer, and grower of the best Jersey Bennie potatoes and Kakanui tomatoes. A real gentleman who lived a good life. Passed away peacefully on Thursday 8 June 2023, aged 79, at Wellington Hospital. Dearly loved husband of Jashu. Much loved father and father-in-law of Jyoti & Ketan, Chetan & Mamta and Kiran. Devoted grandfather to Dilan, Sonia, Aryan and Alisha. Brother-in-law of Jayanti & Jyotsana and Dilip & Laxmi. Fuvaji of Ashis & Hema, Sanjay & Rheanna, Mukesh & Jamini (late), Satish & Reshma and Reena. Uncle of Harish & Indira. Much loved relative of extended family in India, England and Australia. A service to celebrate Naresh’s life will be held at Bharat Bhavan, 48 Kemp Street, Kilbirnie on Monday 12 June.
