FAHEY, Shirley Alice (nee Gray)

Passed away peacefully at Granger House, Greymouth, on June 9, 2023, aged 78. Dearly loved wife of the late Barney, much loved Mum and mother-in-law of Michael and Fiona, Paul and Jody, Matt and Sue, and Paddy and Lisa, loved ‘Nana Shirl’ of Drew and Amy, Holly and Kirk, Gilbert and Eilish, Tom, Anna and Jade, John, Sam and Nikki, Kate and Georgia, Megan and Kade, Daniel, Tim, Sammi, Mackley, and Jake, and her great-grandchildren Isabelle, Archie, and Max, loved sister and sister-in-law of Bev and the late Jim Walsh, and Jan and Michael Coleman, loved sister-in-law of Anne and the late Peter Wanden, Jacko and Judith, and Julie and Peter Dravitzki, a loved aunty, cousin, and a friend of many. A Requiem Mass for Shirley will be celebrated in St Patrick’s Catholic Church, High Street, Greymouth, on Tuesday at 1.00pm. Shirley will then be laid to rest with Barney at the Memorial Park Cemetery, Gladstone. Recitation of the Rosary will be in the church on Monday at 7.00pm.
