With the demolition of the stands at Lancaster Park there has been a noticeable or not-so-noticeable activity going on.That lovely green fence put up around the park doesn't actually keep people out, it just provides cover for those getting into the park as they cannot be seen from the road. So if you are in Lismore St during the weekend you may see the culprits cars parked along the wire fence. Perhaps getting a rego number would be a good idea and pass it to the Council

We caught up with Dr Angela Campbell, PhD Manager of the WellSleep Centre, University of Otago, Wellington and she provided us with some insights into the most common symptoms women might experience whilst going through menopause, which are insomnia, hot flushes, snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea. Dr Campbell states, “these are all common side effects of menopause and can affect up to 70% of women.” So, if you’re experiencing sleepless nights and suddenly disturbing your partner with this new-found snoring, you’re certainly not alone.
If you are experiencing these symptoms, you might be interested to learn that Patney offer an effective, non-invasive and temperature neutral solution that can assist with controlling your snoring - the Patney sleep positioner, has undergone independent validation testing by the WellSleep Centre, Otago University. This week we were delighted to handover a total donation of $21,044.70.
Thank you to all residents and staff at Alpine View as well as the greater local community for getting involved and helping us support this great cause.
Residents and staff vote on a charity to support each year so we are all in agreement. St John was a huge standout and won by overwhelming majority, being a company that everyone needs at some point in their life, we were thrilled to get behind them.
It's been a busy year with a huge range of fundraising events and activities including a garden and craft sale, music concerts, staff car wash and, most recently, Tour de Alpine - our fundraising bike-a-thon. As promised, at the end of the 12 months, Alpine View Management matched the amount raised taking our grand total over $21k!

Recently Battered Women's Trust to be a Good in the Hood grant recipient for 2018. We certainly thank the Z stations for their commitment to such a beneficial community event. To assist Battered Women's Trust you will need to go to the Marshlands Rd Station but if you are out elsewhere still think of how the community benefits when you buy your petrol.
I wish all stations and recipients a healthy and wealthy May.
