Homeowners in Lower Hutt will face a rates increase of an average 5.1 per cent - and in poorer areas the hike could be well above that. What do you think? Is Lower Hutt's growth worth an increase in rates? Comments may be used in print unless you state otherwise with NFP (not for print)

I used to play when I was young (along time ago) and my son who's 16 is keen to play so we are looking for people that would be interested in meeting up maybe once a week to play. Because of the nature of the game we are looking for people 16+ to play with. We are looking for maybe 3 - 4 players.
If you've never played before then that is completely fine as my son is new to this and I'm relearning the new 5th edition rules. If your an experienced player then you are most definitely welcome and we would appreciate your experience. You don't need to bring anything to play as we have basic rules and dice to share. All you need to bring is a sense of adventure, a willingness to let your imagination go wild and friendly fun attitude. We even have a campaign ready to go 'Lost Mine of Phandelver' which is perfect for new players and means that when we meet up we can start playing straight away.
Are you ready for Adventure!

It's a beautiful winding section of path and at times I find myself amongst ducks, Pukeko, rabbits, very colourful Eastern Rosellas, dogs and other users of the path.
I've been waiting patiently for the last section of the path north of the Kennedy-Good Bridge to be sealed. This is where the riverbank flood protection repairs were completed last year. Well, this week that section was finished and it's now a three metre wide smooth path perfect for cycling, kids scooters, walking, running or any other recreation activity.
I think the Hutt Council, the Greater Wellington Regional Council and the contractors have done a great job and further improved an already awesome facility for the region. This is a perfect time of the year to get out and enjoy the river trail. See you by the river!
P.S. Thanks to the commuter who appeared when I was taking photos - I hope you don't mind being in my photo. :o)
