As students adjusted to the shift in their educational environment, many schools were ill-prepared to move to quickly to online learning. Schools such as St Peter’s in Cambridge were readily prepared for a seamless transfer between classroom and digital learning.
With each student ready to use online platforms such as Google Classroom and Hangouts, a streamlined shift was enabled as soon as the lockdown occurred.

They can either be born with congenital abnormalities or develop problems with age. You may notice changes in your pets breathing rate and effort at home, or they may not be as energetic and become more tired when exercising.🩺❤️
The best thing you can do to keep an eye on you pets heart is to have a veterinarian listen to their chest on a yearly basis at their annual vaccination, or if you notice any of these changes at home then give us a call.🩺❤️
If we hear any irregularity in the exam we may advice further tests such as X-rays or an echocardiogram to assess the structure of the heart.🩺❤️
There are medications and modifications we can make if we do find any issues with their heart, which can improve their quality of life and longevity.
Heart checks are a crucial part of our job as animals cannot tell us when they don’t feel well.
❤️🥰So not only look after your heart but your pets as well, remember they love you with all of it!🥰❤️

🐰Rabbits teeth constantly grow, which is why good quality hay is so important to your rabbit’s dental health, not only is it a good source of fiber but it also helps wear down their teeth.
🐰Rabbits can live for up to 10 years of age.
🐰Have you seen your rabbit “BINKY”? This is when they run about and jump athletically in the air and twist and kick. It is a sign of happiness.🥰
🐰A baby rabbit is known as a kit or kitten, a female is called a doe and a male is called a buck. A group of rabbits is known as a herd.
🩺We recommend an annual vet check for your bunnies, to check teeth, vaccinate against Calicivirus, assess their general health, wellbeing and for any signs of disease.🩺
We have desexed a number of rabbits recently, so if you don’t want a herd of bunnies at your house, give the team a call 07 8493963. We can make an appointment for you or answer any questions you may have about your bunnies health and well being.
🐇💕Rabbits really do make great companions.🐇💕

❤️It is a day to highlight and promote the desexing of companion animals world wide.
We have many rescue centre’s throughout the Waikato and New Zealand that work tirelessly to help rescue, desex and rehome the many unwanted kittens and puppies born in New Zealand every year.🐈🐕🦺
We encourage and support the importance of desexing dogs and cats to help combat the overbreeding of unwanted animals, not only that but there are health benefits also:
•Risks of infections, cancer and other diseases of the reproductive organs in our precious pets are lowered.
•Improved life expectancy
•Eliminates unwanted behavior
Please help support these wonderful organizations. ❤️
If you require any further information on desexing or need to book your pet in, please give our team a call on 07 8492963, they will be happy to help you out!😀

Here's some ideas for ways you could get involved:
• swap seeds with a neighbour
• gift a plant you've grown to a neighbour
• take some flowers to a neighbour
• organise a produce swap
• share garden tips or recipes for food in season
• create community gardens or berm pollinator pathways
• host an inclusive garden-themed working bee
• a friendly neighbourhood BBQ with homegrown ingredients
The options are endless! At the end of the day, our shared aim is to help bring people together by encouraging intentional connection with our neighbours. Whether that be organising a street party, sharing a cuppa, or simply saying ‘Kia Ora!” to those who live around you, every action helps to create a safer and more connected New Zealand.

You may remember this beautiful lady who was brought in last week after being found homeless in the St. Andrews area.
No one has come forward to claim her and we would really love to find a new family that she can be a part of.💔
We affectionately call her ‘Agatha’ and she is the loveliest, smoochiest girl that just wants someone to love her.
Agatha is a middle aged lady and does have a health issue that is manageable, so please don’t let that put you off.💕
If you or you know someone that could give her the home she really deserves, please phone the clinic on 07 8492963 for further information on Agatha.
❤️Thank You❤️

Bees can cause swelling, redness, itching or salivation depending on where they sting. Some animals can have an allergic reaction that results in facial swelling, vomiting, hives and sometimes breathing issues. These unlucky pets sometimes need medications to help with the reaction.
❤️What you should do if your pet is stung.
•Remove the stinger if possible with tweezers or scrape it out with something stiff.
•You can apply a cold compress to the area.
•If any allergic reaction occurs please phone us and bring your pet down for treatment. Please don’t administer medications without advice.
As you can see Little Charlie lapped up all the attention while she was with us!💕
