Passed peacefully in the shadow of her mountain, on Thursday 9 March 2023. In her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Leo. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Janet and Peter Hosking (Gold Coast), Kathy and Mike Ellis (Wellington), and Richard (Melbourne). Loved nanny of Luke, Stacey and Amanda, Laurence and Stephanie. Loved nanny nanny of Thorne and Carter. Loved sister of Shirley and Syd Gibson (both deceased), Bill and Shirley Marsh. A graveside service for Valerie will be held at Awanui Cemetery, New Plymouth, on Tuesday 14 March 2023 at 2.00pm.
