We're doing a story on what granny flats are like as a housing option in retirement. For those of you that are either living in a granny flat, or are the family who built/bought a granny flat to add to your property for an elder family member, we'd like to hear about why a granny flat was right for you. What was the process of getting one and learning to live together like? If you're happy to share your story and be featured in the article, please email mikaela.wilkes@stuff.co.nz or let us know in the comments below, your message may be used in our story.

The public can get Covid-19 tests done at most GPs at no cost. I don't understand why the radio and news reports only mention the long waits at community testing stations? There is another option! Both the MOH website and covid19.govt.health state this. Any GPs out there who can comment?

Health Minister Chris Hipkins is telling Aucklanders to wear a face mask as the city heads into an alert level 3 lockdown today.
“My advice to everyone watching this is: ‘Wear one’,” Hipkins told Stuff.
He said the Government was still working on legal issues around making masks compulsory.
A legal order under the new Covid-19 legislation would be issued on Wednesday. This would give legal effect to the alert levels in Auckland and the rest of the country.
