Lovely retreat held at Kohimarama

Eve from Eve Rudkin Mindfulness

I enjoyed leading a mindfulness retreat day a week ago – a group, together, outside in beautiful, peaceful nature.

The Mary Mackillop centre is so special, beautiful trees, spacious view.

Thanks to those who came. It was lucky we did it then, and it will be a while until I do another one.… View more

Uplands Kindergarten

Head Teacher from Uplands Kindergarten

We harvested the seeds from our sunflowers. Some we saved to plant next year, and the rest we gave to our friend Tsana to feed to her chickens. They loved them!

Hi dear neighbours

I was reminded about the importance of a sacred space today. A space that is yours and that has been designed and decorated by you to feel safe, comfortable and cradled. It does not have to be big nor has to be a room as such. But whenever you go there you can feel at ease you can relax and recuperate.
For me it is my consulting room. I have created it with balance in mind. All items in it are meaningful to me or have a healing sacred energy, form, sound or scent.
When I need some peace and quiet I come here.
I do my meditations here and my studies related to holistic healing . Do you have your sacred place? It could be a spot in the forest or beach or a park or a garden. A sacred place can also be a place that you create in your mind. If you would like to know how you can contact me. Txt 021 02218085 or pm me

Mask wearing correctly please

Catherine from Glendowie

Bit disappointed tonight while supporting local at Morton’s. All wearing masks but one waiter wearing his below nose. I suggested to another lovely waitress that the other waiter needs to pull his mask up. Replied “ it fogs up his glasses”!! Sorry , but imagine if we all said that. … View moreBit disappointed tonight while supporting local at Morton’s. All wearing masks but one waiter wearing his below nose. I suggested to another lovely waitress that the other waiter needs to pull his mask up. Replied “ it fogs up his glasses”!! Sorry , but imagine if we all said that. Unfortunately it does for me too but I still have to wear my mask for 8 hours at the hospital tomorrow - fogged classes or not.
