Chipseal bleeding
Kia ora Kāpiti…how hot was it yesterday? ☀️
Unfortunately, some of the roads we chipsealed last season are not doing so well in the heat and things are a bit sticky. We’ve received a few reports of chipseal bleeding on Ōtaki Gorge Road, Hautere Cross Road, and Old Hautere Road. We are in conversations with our contractors about what we can do to remedy the situation but for now, if you are moving through these areas, please take extra care.
Our team is out and about inspecting our local road network but we can’t be everywhere all of the time so if you happen to come across an area that needs our attention give us a call on 0800 486 486.
Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
