About 150 fast fashion fans have queued up outside H&M's new Queensgate store ahead of the grand opening at 10am.
Have you gone down to check it out? What did you see? What did you think?

It’s all happening in the Hutt!
If you’re coming to the CBD over coming days, especially during the weekend, please expect there to be lots more traffic on the roads and for there to be delays. It’s awesome that Lower Hutt is attracting new business and events but it does mean during opening days and event weekends we need to expect more cars and for it to take longer to get around. Over the next few days there will also be restrictions on access to the northern end of the Riverbank Car Park because of the events happening.
This weekend is a perfect time to consider public transport or parking a little further away than you usually do and walking to where you need to go…especially if this beautiful weather holds out.
Because H&M is set to be so popular, Queensgate Shopping Centre has also put special measures in place to keep cars moving in their car park but due to the buzz around H&M there may be unavoidable congestion. You can follow the Queensgate facebook page for shopping updates.
Please take care on the roads, be patient and make the most of being part of a city where things are happening.

I have an old fridge freezer that I want to dispose of. Is there anywhere other than the Silverstream tip in the Upper Hutt area?
Thanks

This work includes putting in a new pipeline from Knights Road to the Hutt River, and upgrading well pumps. To complete the work as soon as possible, we’re working at several places along the route simultaneously.
This week we’ll be upgrading the pumps and well chamber at the top of Willoughby Street. To carry this out as quickly and as safely as possible, we’re closing that section of road until early November. Detours will be in place via Cudby Street and Riddiford Street. See attached map for further information. We’ll also continue trenching along Knights Road
throughout October. Please observe speed restrictions and take extra care if driving in the area where work is taking place.

Some good news, they have started sealing the new on ramp.
The on ramp we all use from haywards S58 to upper hutt.
Traffic on SH2 is down to one lane heading towards upper hutt.
In case your not sure what ramp im meaning it's directly across from the manor park railway station.
