A 25- storey building intended to be iconic on Hamilton’s waterfront has hit delays, with the developers behind the project appearing to have little skin in the game.

Several people who spoke anonymously to the Waikato Times had doubts about the future of the project, while Hamilton City Council confirmed a resource consent application has not been lodged.

However, the developer behind the hotel said yesterday that it remained “fully confident in and committed to the project.”
