CRANSTON-SELBY, Claire Theresa

On May 25, 2023, unexpectedly aged 32 years. Dearly loved daughter of Chris, and the late Heather (Durham, England). Treasured granddaughter of Ernest Williamson. Claire was a devoted and loyal friend to many whom she came into contact with while travelling throughout Australia and New Zealand.
She will be sadly missed by many.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Claire’s memory to the Mental Health Foundation would be appreciated and may be made online at donate.mentalhealth.org.nz. For bereavement support following a suicide please contact Christchurch Waves Group waves.canterbury@sfnz.org.nz The Celebration of Claire’s life will be held in our Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, on Monday, June 12 at 2.00pm. READ, Phyllis Kate (Phyl) (née Hatherley)

On June 5, 2023, peacefully at WesleyCare, in her 98th year. Dearly loved wife of Sydney Francis (Frank) for 74 years, loving mother and mother-in-law of Kathleen, Graham and Julie, Lynda and John, David and Dale, Bevan and Priscilla. Treasured Grandmother of Anna, Marcus, Ben, Tim, Emily, Christy, Hamish, Louise, Matt, Chris and Julia, proud Great-Grandmother of 18. And devoted sister of the late Dennis Hatherley. A special thanks to the WesleyCare staff and Princess for their wonderful care, love and support of Phyl for the past six years. Passed away peacefully at Nelson Hospital, Monday, June 5, 2023, aged 81 years. Loving wife of Clarry. Cherished mum of Craig, and Shelley, and stepmother of Sharon and Michelle. In memory of Betty Adams, an inspirational woman, who died peacefully at Te Hopai Rest Home on 2nd June 2023, aged 95 years. Loved wife of Tim Lyall Adams and mother of Timothy and Chris. Passed away at Palmerston North Hospital on Monday 5th June 2023, aged 53 years. Beloved daughter to the late Sylvia and John Mortensen. A cherished sister to Deborah & Simon, Roy, Rochelle and the late Shane. Christiene was a loving Mum to her kids Jordanne & Christian, Reon, Hope and Quade. An adored ‘Nanny’ to Cooper and Colton. Dearly loved and devoted wife of the late Fred, much loved Mum of Janice Hopkins (deceased), Paul and Danielle, Sandra and Kevin O’Neil, and David, cherished Nana of Kelly and Ben, Jess and Regan, Melissa, Kaitlin, and MacKenzie, and loved great-Nana of Josh, Sophie, Toby, Riley, Fletcher and Austin.

Gay Fraundorfer of St Andrews Hamilton, beloved wife of the late John Fraundorfer and Keith Hubbard, passed away peacefully on Saturday 3 June 2023. Much loved mother of Sue, Mike and Julia, step-mother of Nell and Mark, sister-in-law of Basil, and buddy of her late sister Diana. A special grandmother to David, Ben, Jonny, Hannah, Emma, Andrew, Kathryn, Joanne, Dave and Elise and their children, and aunt to Josie and Martin.

A service to celebrate Sam’s life will be held in Kingswood, cnr King and Cairo Streets, Upper Hutt, on Friday 9th June at 2.00pm, followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Wellington Free Ambulance would be appreciated.
