PHILLIPS, Grace

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Grace on 18 May 2023 at her home. Beloved wife of the late Reg Phillips, Grace was a cherished mother of Howard, Murray, Kevin, Donald, and Wayne. Mother-in-law to, Kathy, Judi and Tone-Lise. She was also an adored grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother of 14.
Rest in peace, dear Grace.
A Service will be held at St Bride’s Anglican Church, 54 Haerehuka Street, Otorohanga, on Monday, 22nd May at 2.00pm, followed by a private cremation. Died peacefully at the Palmerston North Hospital on Saturday 13th May 2023, in his 76th year. Loved husband of Anne Odogwu, Dad to Will (Poland) and Grandad of Gustaw and Zoe (Poland).

WILLIAMS, Peter Anthony

Passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Nelson Tasman Hospice, aged 74 years. Dearly loved husband of Elizabeth, loved father and father-in-law of Shaun (Mexico), Rachel and Stephen Dobbie (Darwin), Stephanie Williams and Calvin Haycock. Treasured Da of Ruben, Katie, and Thomas, and “flying together with the angels” Kiyo and Christopher. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Judith and Lesa Seumanutafa, a loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews, and a loved half-brother of Rita, Sandra and their families. (UK). Elizabeth and the family would like to sincerely thank the Nelson Tasman Hospice, Dr Juliet Fleming and staff, St Pauls and Lower Moutere Schools, St Vincent de Paul, as well as the staff at Nelson Hospital and many other people who have shown their support over the past weeks. Passed away as a result of an illness, in Christchurch, on May 17, 2023, aged 72. Dearly loved husband of the late Helen, loved father and best mate of Simon, loved brother and brother-in-law of Murray, Graeme and Linda, and Susan, loved brother-in-law of Frances and Donny King, Ann and the late Denis Gibson, Maureen O’Malley, Gerard Bullimore, and Jane (deceased) and Derek Hutchison, a loved uncle, cousin, and a friend of many. Passed away peacefully on Sunday, 14th May 2023, after a short illness, at St Johns Wood Oceania Rest Home, Taupo, aged 107 years, 3 days. Dearly loved husband of the late Thora. Treasured Dad and father-in-law of Peter and Eileen and Valerie (deceased). Adored grandfather (Poppa Jack) and great-grandfather of Trevor and Jo, Alan, Gary and Dianne Coe, Michael and Aaron Sefton. All of Jack’s great-grandchildren and very close extended family. Special thanks to the manager and staff at St Johns Wood Rest Home Taupo. In accordance with Jack’s wishes, a private family service has been held. A Memorial Service to celebrate Jack’s life will be held in Marton on Saturday, 3rd June 2023, at 1.00pm, at Beauchamp Funeral Home, 18 Morris Street, Marton. An avid gardener, seamstress and artist, June was the loved wife of Donald (d. 2005), loving mother of Brian (d. 2007), David, and Allan (d. 2012) and 5 grandchildren. Beloved mother-in-law of Sherrilyn, Belinda and Celia; treasured grandmother of Oliver, Daniel and Alice; James and Nicolas. The funeral will take place at Knox Church, Pigeon Bay, Banks Peninsula, on Saturday, May 20, at 2.00pm.
