(Of Kaiapoi). On May 15, 2023, passed peacefully at Ngaio Marsh Hospital in his 89th year. Dearly loved husband of the late Shirley, and loved friend of Patricia. Much loved Dad and father-in-law of Janine and Martin Pinkham, John, and Shane and Michele. Loved Grandad of Steven, Ryan, Hamish, Thomas, Crystal, Olivia, Ashley and their partners. Grandfather of Stephanie, Samantha, and Michael, and a caring great-grandfather. Allan was a loved brother, brother-in-law and uncle. A special thank you to The Urology Department at Christchurch Hospital and the staff at Ngaio Marsh for their wonderful care of Allan. SHARPE, Peter Geoffrey

Peter died peacefully in Sydney on May 11, 2023, aged 81, with family at his side. Beloved husband of Sue, much loved by his sons Andrew and Greg, his grandchildren, family and friends. He was an inspiring man and he will be remembered for his loyalty, good humour, love of life, and that wonderful smile! Privately cremated, as Peter requested.

O’LEARY, Maurice Patrick

On May 14, 2023, at Christchurch Hospital with family at his side, aged 85 years. Dearly loved husband and companion of Shirley for 58 years, a respected and devoted father of Mary, and David, and Anya. Treasured “Maurie” of Dana. A loved brother of Ivan, Neil, Mary (all deceased), Brian, Ann, Joan (deceased), Terry (deceased), John, and Bernard, and their partners. RYAN, Josephine Mary (Josie) (formerly O’Regan, nee Gallagher)

Passed away at home, with family by her side, on 14 May 2023. Wife of the late Terry O’Regan and Jack Ryan, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Charmayne, Yvonne (deceased), Erin, Tony and Kathryn, Joanne, Kathy and Meerten, Marie (deceased), Rosie and Peter, and Paddy. Loved by her 16 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Loved sister of Catherine and the late Patricia. Aunty to her nieces and nephews. Much loved stepmother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother to all of Jack Ryan’s family. A service to celebrate Josie’s life will be held at the St Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 152 Stokes Valley Road, Stokes Valley on Friday 19 May 2023 at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, donations to Te Omanga Hospice Lower Hutt would be much appreciated for their great care and help in Mum’s last days.

FORD, Robert Victor (Rob)

Surrounded by the immense love of his family, Rob passed away at Waipuna Hospice on Monday 15 May 2023; aged 58 years. Husband, best friend, and soulmate of Julie. Proud and loving dad to James and Olivia. Much loved only son of the late Glen and Teisa Ford, and lovingly remembered by Brian and Shirley Fellows.
Rob will be forever missed and never forgotten by his family and many friends.

1938 Classic has passed away peacefully at home in Blenheim. Aged 84 years. Much loved wife of the late Ted Lackner, a loved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend of many. 17.9.1957 — 10.5.2023
After a long suffering illness, Robyn passed away in the early hours at the Hospice. Loved daughter of the late Lewis and Marjorie (née Kingi) Green, loved mother of Ricky-Jack. Loved sister of Donna, Tessa and Greg Rangi, Lewis, Andrew and Brady. Loved Nan to her four granddaughters, and a much loved aunty to all her nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the Hospice, Gemma McKinley, MacDonald whanau and all the carers throughout her illness. Robyn has been laid to rest at the Urupa at Grovetown at her request.
