Urgent action required. Consent is currently pending for an 8-storey, 40 unit apartment block in Meadowbank at 21 Manapau St.

Simon from Meadowbank

Our Community is at Stake! Sign the Petition to Stop the High-Rise!

Friends and neighbours,
Our beloved community is facing a significant threat: the proposed construction of an 8-story, 40-unit apartment block that would dwarf our two-story homes and forever alter the character of our neighborhood.

This project is more than just bricks and mortar; it represents the potential loss of our shared history, our sense of community, and the friendly, familiar environment we cherish. Imagine the children's laughter replaced by traffic noise, the friendly faces replaced by strangers, and the sunlight replaced by the imposing shadow of a concrete giant.

We can't let this happen!

By signing the petition below, you will join your fellow residents in demanding a public notification process for this project. This crucial step will ensure that all voices are heard and the potential impact on our community is thoroughly considered before any decisions are made.

In the Post's article on speeding penalties, the question is asked whether speeding fines are truly about road safety, or are they just a way to boost revenue for the Crown?
