The rate (an extra $150 a year/$2.90 a week) is expected to raise $46 million over 10 years and has already seen three new bus services to connect residents to the rest of the city. The RTTR is the first targeted transport rate within the Auckland region.
We'd like to know if you think your area would benefit from a targeted transport rate to kick-start local projects. Vote in our poll below and let us know in the comments.
