Poll: Community Newspaper Revival
With the shutdown of community newspapers like Central Leader, Western Leader and Eastern Leader, many suburbs have lost a trusted source of local updates, neighbourhood stories and small-business promotion. We are exploring scope of rebranding existing ethnic community newspaper into a broader community newspaper to fill this gap and bring back true local news for everyone — Kiwi, migrant and multicultural communities together. We would love to hear your thoughts: Do you feel the disappearance of community newspapers has affected local connection and access to information? Would you support the launch of a renewed, community-focused newspaper — including by reading it, sharing local stories or encouraging local businesses to advertise? Your feedback will help us assess whether the community wants this back.

Auckland, why are we so excited about a new store? 🚗🛒
I think we’ve all seen the traffic notices and headlines about the new IKEA by now!
So here’s the question: why do we get so excited when a new store opens? Convenience? Curiosity? A reason for a weekend outing? We’d love to hear your thoughts!

Poll: Should we be giving the green light to new mining projects? 💰🌲

We want to know: Should mining projects like this move ahead?

Can anyone please help with transporting supplies to the Tokoroa dog shelter?
Hello Neighbours
I’ve collating donations for the SWDC dog shelter (near-expiry food; towels, blankets, plastic beds, toys, etc). There’s enough already to fill a 4-wheel drive or big ute but, at least, a BIG boot full. It would be great to get this to the shelter (esp. the short-dated food) ASAP
If you have spare / unused stretcher beds, plastic dog baskets, bedding, food, metal food bowls, leads, collars, toys, etc which you'd like to donate, please contact me, many thanks
