New connections
It was so good to catch up briefly with the lovely Lilly Auvaa. We first met Lilly when she joined us from Australia for the Samoa Business Network Business Trip in Samoa back in 2018. It was good to know that the connections she made then have helped her with her move and setting up her business in Samoa. She is now permanently based in Apia.

Great to be introduced and meet Simei Kolio who runs a business in Australia called KoKo Samoa and is in Samoa to explore opportunities to give back & utilise Samoan resources.
Isn’t it wonderful to see our people going back home to the islands to create opportunities, not only for themselves but for Samoa?
This gets us excited and gives us so much confidence in opening up a Hub and basing ourselves in Samoa. Because of these connections and also creating a space where we can all come together, work together and support one another

Suellen’s sweet Christmas tradition
The festive season is always a great excuse to indulge your sweet tooth, and this time of year poses the perfect opportunity to bring a real showstopper to the Christmas table.
For Suellen’s family, that showstopper is Croquembouche, an impressive tower of cream puffs bound together with spun sugar that is popular at weddings in France and Italy.
What began as a birthday treat at a local French café has become a cherished Christmas tradition for Suellen and her 17-year-old twin granddaughters, Ellie and Sadie. Every year, the trio gather in Suellen’s apartment at William Sanders Village to cook this festive dessert - a holiday highlight they all treasure.
