What kind of bus service should Bishopdale have?

eCAN’s draft Regional Public Transport Plan proposes a new network that will bring a new high frequency bus route from the city through Papanui and along Harewood Road. 🚌

This is great news for Bishopdale IF the bus route reaches as far as Bishopdale Mall. It would mean that residents would be able to travel to the city without having to change buses at Papanui and that people from outside Bishopdale could more easily travel to the suburb.

However if the route turned north into Greers Road and headed to Northcote then these benefits would be lost.

The bus routes for the proposed new network have yet to be decided. Let eCAN know that the new high frequency bus route should reach Bishopdale Mall. Let them know that Bishopdale deserves to have a non-stop route into the city! You can read the plan and make a submission to Ecan at:
