Upright piano going to the dump

Peter from Glenbervie

A client has an old piano, probably made from laminated mahogany. It works, but one key is broken and from a distance it looks sad. Perhaps this could make a restoration project for somebody, or the wood could be reused. Pickup from the top of Vinegar hill. Please contact me for the contact details… View moreA client has an old piano, probably made from laminated mahogany. It works, but one key is broken and from a distance it looks sad. Tena koe Roger,

Thank you for your patience while I investigated your concerns.

It is my understanding that you have spoken with Whangarei District Council staff about this issue in the past. Our staff have informed me that Whangarei District Council cannot restrict Heavy Commercial Vehicles from using the Town Basin route. There are No Engine Breaking signs, however they are not enforceable.

I understand this may not be the response you were hoping for, however we will not be enforcing any new restrictions on trucks in the Town Basin area at this time.

Please contact myself or my Executive Assistant, Elsa should you have any further questions –
