Westport is the test drive dummy for a pilot scheme which goverment wants to roll out in other districts with minimal, or no local community consultation which has been the case for Westport residence. If attendance isn't possible on Friday 18th, support emails directed to the Westport Mayor Mr Gary Howard at Buller District Council voicing your concerns would be of huge importance along with your local MP. This Goverment lead inititative is not in the best interest's of communities it is seeking to force their scheme on. Major media attention is need in WESTPORT on the 18th to bring attention and a national voice to Residents concerns so all thoughts welcomed.
