Attached is a photo of my sweet dog Maddie, an 8 year old Norwich Terrier. Maddie came into my life about 15 months ago to heal my heart after I lost my JRT called Pippa four months previously. She settled in immediately and is my joy in life. Loves her walks, her treats and cuddles on my lap. She’s just perfect in every way.

I am a great dog who loves to have cuddles, I love to have humans around me. Due to my young age I would be better for me to go to a home that has no young children. I can be a little shy with new people and then I am a bouncy bean. I would be fine for me to go to a home with teenagers.
So far I had a little bit of training, I am a bit uncoordinated and jumpy. With training, we both need to start from scratch. I am very willing to learn. You will see me blossom from an uncoordinated boy to a very well trained dog that will stick by your side. I need to be introduced to the world slowly as it can be a little overwhelmingly for me. I am great with other dogs at the centre and love to play. A home with a slightly older dog would mix well with me, so they can show me the ropes on how to be the best dog. If you are a ready for a new man in your life, please click on my profile and my heart could be yours forever."

Just a reminder that Tawa Probus is back in action after a couple months break while COVID passed through Tawa. Visitors and perspective new members are very welcome.

This Monday 16th May, we meet again as normal at the Tawa Bowling Club, Davies Street, 9.30am.

We will be having our delayed brief AGM and then a speaker Brian Colegate. Brian is a resident in a Paraparaumu retirement village and has recently published a book on retirement villages titled – "Retirement Villages - Residents Verdict". Over the last decade we have seen an explosive growth in retirement villages and at some stage most older people may consider the prospect of moving into a village. Brian will present an unbiased view of the pros and cons of retirement village life and discuss some of the widely reported issues around the retirement village model.
