Poll: Would you pay to use your neighbours' swimming pool?

The Team Reporter from Stuff

People rent out baches, rooms in their houses, their garages and car parking spaces, so surely hiring out swimming pools is the next logical step.

A new app lets people hire their private pools by the hour, but it hasn't come to New Zealand - yet.

Wanted: kombucha scoby

Julie from Northland

Hi. If you have a spare kombucha scoby, I’d really appreciate one. (A mould got into my scoby hotel and I lost the lot.) Happy to pay and pickup (in WELLINGTON city).

Update: thanks for looking. It looks like I have a couple of great leads, which I’ll follow up first.

The Matsuri Gala is all ready to go tomorrow (11am to 2pm) at Crofton Downs Primary School. The forecast isn't looking great, however we're definitely going ahead. The weather won't beat us!

We're moving the fun around so it's indoors, or under shelter...everyone can still play heaps of games, eat delicious food, buy beautiful crafts and plants, find treasures in our book and toy rooms, enjoy local entertainment etc etc.

Sounds like a perfect outing on a (possibly) rainy day, and you don't have to worry about sunscreen 🤣
Can't wait to see you there!

Hi Neighbours!

The Minister for Seniors Tracey Martin has released the new strategy for our ageing population, Better Later Life – He Oranga Kaumātua 2019 to 2034.

Like the rest of the developed world, New Zealand has an ageing population. This means there are some things we must consider and prepare for as a country.

Better Later Life takes a fresh look at what is required to ensure New Zealand is a great place to age and achieve the vision of making sure older people lead valued, connecting and fulfilling lives.

The strategy's key areas for action will be used to guide the priorities of what needs to happen in our action plan.
