This marks the beginning of a new alliance partnership and a new era in efficient repair and maintenance of the city's water, stormwater and drainage infrastructure. Fulton Hogan have had to contend with a backlog of work as they took on the new contract, and there has been a small spike in leaks requiring repair, but this new team is already making headway into that backlog.
There's an old proverb: "Where there is water there is life."
But it's also true that: "Where there are leaks there are complaints!" Hopefully Wellingtonians will now get more water where they want it and less where they don't.

Well, WERO MAI is a MAORI BOARD GAME for beginner Te Reo Maori Learners.
Wero Mai is a Young Enterprise business that has created a Maori board game to educate kiwis on Maori language and culture. The game is an interactive tool that allows for beginner Te Reo Maori learners to learn basic vocabulary in a fun social way. Only 3.7% of kiwis speak fluent Te Reo Maori and Wero Mai values kaitiakitanga and wants the language to be sustained as it is one of New Zealand’s three official languages.
Wero Mai is a bilingual flashcard game that can be played individually or in teams. The game covers a range of topics such as months, days, numbers, wildlife, Maori culture and NZ places. The game is filled with challenges like our Taniwha, which maximises learning and involvement from all players! The question based game brings families and friends together, off electronic devices and allows for players to learn more about Maori language and culture.
For more information, click on Wero Mai’s website where you can also order the game (delivery available). weromaiwegc.wixsite.com...

The $55 timber Occasional Chair is the latest casualty, although this is a withdrawal rather than a recall. We don't know the reason for its withdrawal, except Kmart says it is for "a potential quality issue". But what other products have been found wanting?

You'll get 10 cents for every can, glass, or plastic bottle! There's $200 to give away, so the first 2,000 bottles will get the money!
Why?
Some of you will remember the days when people got paid 5c per glass bottle returned. It greatly helped to keep bottles out of the environment.
If we reintroduced a system like this we'd have way higher recycling rates, less litter on our beaches and streets and awesome fundraising opportunities for our local schools and community groups.
Bottle Deposits are being introduced ALL across the world as a best-practice way to move us towards zero waste, supporting both people and planet, and New Zealand needs to join in!
