We are now collecting small metal and plastic lids here at the community centre to take to the Sustainability Trust in town for recycling.
We accept clean, dry, and separated:
plastics labelled 2 (e.g. milk bottle tops)
plastics labelled 5 (e.g. yoghurt pot lids)
metal (e.g. metal jar lids and beer bottle tops)
We can't recycle:
any other small plastic items e.g. food pouch lids, dip lids, coffee cup lids
lids with a thermal seal inside (this often looks like a blue or white layer inside the lid)
waxy paper inserts (please remove if you can, we can still recycle the lid)
For more information, check out the Sustainability Trust's website: sustaintrust.org.nz...
A reminder too that we also recycle batteries here at the centre!

So we’ve just announced our 5th fee cut in 5 years. From 1 April, we’re lowering our total fund charge to 0.30% across our Conservative, Balanced and Growth KiwiSaver Funds and our diversified investment funds. Says Sam Stubbs, Simplicity MD: “Being a KiwiSaver manager involves huge economies of scale. Fee cuts in our industry should be frequent, but they aren’t.”
Simplicity believes in passing on the benefits of scale to our members – and we’re on track for further fee cuts in the future. Check out more details on our blog now!

Our team is workind really hard behing the scenes getting players registered and into teams ahead of the season kick off.
We are still taking registrations and can happily accommodate new players in all grades. In particular we would really like some extra players in our combined rip grades (RipRugby) and our tackle teams are also on the look out for a couple of players.
