I was stoked to discover today that the recent resurfacing of the Forum North car park also provided a fourth electric vehicle (EV) charging space, and as we can see in the photo they're gratefully accepted and fully used.
While central government is consistently failing to deliver any meaningful policies to support the transition to low-emissions transport and is rather giving in to proponents of an archaic and unsustainable lifestyle, it's refreshing to see that local government is walking the talk. Little steps, baby steps in fact, but nonetheless. Well done, WDC.

Level 2 Water Restrictions come in to force on Wednesday, 26 February. Please be aware that this restriction level includes a ban on sprinklers and irrigation systems. We are asking Whangārei households to reduce their water use by 20 per cent.

Voluntary measures have reduced water use by around 8 per cent over the last few weeks. It's a great start, but we still need more people to save more water NOW in order to make our reserves last.

Please share this message with friends and family - everyone is going to need to do their bit.

Hi neighbours! At Cooper's Pet Kitchen our food is free of cheap fillers like grains, corn, soy & wheat... but what does that really mean?

It means there’s more protein-packed nutrition in every bite. We’re big believers in quality over quantity so while our food may be a little more expensive than some, its nutrient density makes for smaller portions with more readily absorbable nutrients.

Get more bang for your dog’s bite with 50% OFF your first order with code NEIGHBOURLY.

This also means a decrease in what comes out the other end... less 'picking up' what they’re 'putting down' at the dog park if you catch our drift.
