Planned water outage - Waikanae

The Team from Kāpiti Coast District Council

Kia ora Kāpiti, we will be temporarily shutting off water supply to a number of homes in Waikanae tomorrow between 10am–2pm in order to connect a new water main, and to allow for a diversion to support our stormwater works at Waikanae Beach.

We have been in touch with those that this work will affect. To check if this is your household, visit www.kapiticoast.govt.nz... If you are in these areas, please plan ahead.

After the shutdown, you may notice a cloudy appearance caused by air in the water. This should clear rapidly if you run your taps for a short period of time (1–2mins).

Both of these important projects improve the reliability and resilience of our water supply and our stormwater network in Waikanae.

Thanks for your patience, Waikanae. For more information on stormwater in Kāpiti, visit www.kapiticoast.govt.nz...
