Waikanae Library closed Monday 5 September
Kia ora Kāpiti, Waikanae Library will be closed on Monday 5 September as we put the finishing touches to the extension of our interim library.
We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience as we complete the last stage of this work. All going well, we’ll be open for business on Tuesday and we look forward to showing you our extended library!

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
