"Just starting to sort my images for the 2024 Calendar and have decided this cheeky fellow makes the cut. I'm thinking he might become a painting too at some point. Kaka/ Brown Parrot (Nestor meridionalis) on Stewart Island - their heads are noticeably more white than the ones we get around Wellington."

Washing Machine

Pamela from Raumati South

I've decided not to have my faithful washing machine repaired. It's a 10kg Panasonic front loading machine and I think the pump has stopped working. If you would like it for parts or have the skills to repair it, it's yours 😊

A Korimako, our native Bellbird are often heard but rarely seen. To have one flitting around our place was so wonderful to see, and hear. The blue around the Korimako's bill and face is pollen from our native fuschia. Over the past few days the luck I've had in our garden has been amazing. Karori is one great place to see a range of native, and sometimes rare and beautiful wildlife."
