It had to happen at some time but just heard of burglary of a home in the Wallaceville Estate-The Reserve area of Trentham.
The area is fast approaching the half way stage of its 700 dwellings. All are equipped with burglar alarms, secure door locks and security lights and some with cameras and some with dogs.
But determined, professional burglars seem able to overcome these obstacles. On their side are high fencing, double and triple glazed windows stifling sound, the demise of Neighbourhood Watch and the general lack of neighbours communicating with each other. The latter is a major issue and a reason could be something verging on cultural typicalities.

Looking forward to the 2020 Olympics even if a year late and live cardboard audiences with crowd sound effects coming out of sound systems.

NZ was always going to do well and perhaps now will do even better through the competition restrictions of Covid 19 having a slightly less affect on Kiwi athletes than it does on those of many other countries.

Feel most sorry for the three NZ track and field athletes who actually well and trully qualified for the Olympics but the NZ selection panel has kept them out. Mean spirited, lacking in pin pointed knowledge and not thinking ahead.

Will be glued to the tv for a couple of weeks.

Parking Pandemonium

According to the Upper Hutt City Council, there is nothing in their bylaws to prevent a truck, caranvan, campervan and bus from permanent parking curbside anywhere residential in Upper Hutt.
With many streets in Upper Hutt so narrow that when two normal cars park either side parallel with each other vehicles cannot pass. I can think of one street where only a car parked curbside will cause a mini bus to slowly edge past. And yet a 44-seat bus, supercampervan or caravan and a monster truck, can gleefully take up any vacant space.
Could be that the UHCC should be bringing in sensible regulations regarding parking.

"If you're looking for a super sweet pup, with a kind personality, I am your girl! I am coming out of my shell with each day though I still have a journey ahead of me.
I am looking for a home with another dog that can help me grow and provide me with some support when life is scary. I have come so far since first arriving at SPCA and can't wait to continue learning more about the world in my home, my community and through training school. I am not the largest sibling in my litter though I will be medium to large once fully grown. All the more to love!
Being a young puppy I do require a home with someone around for parts of the day, this will help build my confidence around people, ensure I get lunch and help with general training."

The weather suppose to bring the best out of us but they say that people are at their most happiest with outside temperatures of 20-21c. Not at 5-10c. Have set the heat pump to 21c.

Ironically I will need to take down the wind spinner before it threatends to spin away. Place extra bricks on the barbecue and outdoor furniture covers.
Damn, won't be getting the wind chimes installed until next week. The wind might blow and whistle a tune anyway.
