The Wellington SPCA is appealing for donations for a puppy recently rescued in Upper Hutt.

At just three months old, Piglet was covered in one of the worst cases of mange the SPCA vets had seen.
Piglet’s skin was red, raw and weeping. Mange is a debilitating skin disease caused by parasitic mites. Left untreated like this, it is horrific and extremely painful.
Found wandering the streets alone, the disease had ravaged Piglet's skin, and she was in significant pain and discomfort.
Her medication is expensive and SPCA vets say she will need a lot of care.
This weeks contribution comes from Louise Thomas.
"Is that a little blue sky this afternoon? I feel like a mole rat emerging after a week in the burrow. This grey warbler/riroriro (Gerygone igata) seems pretty happy to see the sun. He's posing in a cedar tree for Christmas cards."
A group of us will be heading out from camborne walkway on grays road at 9am, heading toward the other end of grays road an back again

Surely Upper Hutt should come to the rescue.
Buoyant at the moment due to a sharp rise in new commercial, recreational and residential activity, Upper Hutt is at last getting its available commercial areas and pockets of land and properties utilised. And this will increase no doubt when a major commercial area in Lower Hutt shuts down through Hutt River flood management procedures.
But commercial does not equate to industrial.
So Upper Hutt with an abundance of land which could be made available for industries, should get going to fulfill such a demand. It can only further advance the new appetite for the positive development of Upper Hutt.

2 x 9kg LPG gas bottles. One is new the other not so new. $50 for both. Both has a little bit of gas in them. Pick up Upper Hutt.
The fridge is in excellent condition. No scratches or dents. Unfortunately the tray in the freezer is cracked and two of the trays in the door are cracked (courtesy of heavy handed flatmates) but they are easy enough to replace.
