Meet four month old Kora who is available for adoption at the Wellington SPCA.

"I'm a playful pup, who loves having a wrestle with my friends and burning off my puppy energy. I have quickly become a volunteer favourite and they can’t understand why I am still here. I am looking for a semi-experienced home to help me learn the necessities, continue my socialisation and help me thrive in my new home. Due to my age, I'm not able to be left alone for more than a few hours at a time, though it's a great time to continue my puppy training.
I am beginning to learn basic commands like sit, down and come. I love chasing balls and chewing , I am very clever at doing both of these things. I am yet to be tested with small animals, and could learn from an existing male dog in the home. I am better suited to a house with confident teenagers, rather than children. If you're keen to meet me and be very entertained by me, apply to adopt me and the canine team will be in touch."

Got in the earliest we have ever put up Xmas decorations today but still days and weeks behind quite a lot of neighbours.

Seems we are becoming more Americanised because they certainly hit the ground running with Christmas decorations especially externally.

Only had to walk 10 minutes in order to cut the top threequarters of a young pine tree which was growing like a weed. And as quickly as you can say "Santa Claus In A Sleigh Pulled By Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer", we had the tree covered with new fancy multiple coloured lights that have nine differing patterns/functions.

Going to a party where part of the gift exchange is Xmas decorations and so we chose two tree items that are largely green coloured and always wondered the interest factor with green on green.

Went to Pak n Save, Upper Hutt today and several kids aged anything from 12 to 16 not wearing a mask.

The store not taking action despite the presence of a Pandemic security person and service desk staff annoyed me.

Asked the youngest of a group of three how old he was and he said 12 and then quickly changed it to 11.
Went to service desk and told them - but the two people manning the desk said kids aged 12 don't need to wear a mask. They said they would check up on the others but never did.

Not only are children aged 12 and over regulated to wear masks in places such as supermarkets and public transport but it would be quite sane for children younger than 12 and say older than 5 to also comply as they can pass on the Covid virus just as much as older kids and you and me.

There is an element of insanity about the system that has developed in NZ despite all the good work been done.

Masks and distancing are a must for all ages and children are no exception.

Pak n Save, UH shame on you.
