Womens Classes for Term 2, 2022
The Upper Hutt Women's Centre classes are beginning for term 2 next week. Our class sizes are small and we have some wonderful facilitators who will make you feel welcome. They are focused on health, well being, education and enjoyment and are affordable for all. If you would like to learn something new or even just connect with others we would love you to come along. This term we are running bellydancing, singing, life redesign, line dancing, macrame, mindful yoga (including a chair based session), oil painting, sewing, sign language and total barre classes. But for Emma Muller, it has also turned into an opportunity to celebrate her late daughter Nicola, who died 19 years ago at the age of 37.
Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
